Double Beef Bacon Burger with Maple Candied Bacon

Classic beef burger
Ingredients
- 8 x Strips Bacon
- ½ cup Frenchmaid Maple Syrup
- 2 x White Onions
- A splash of balsamic vinegar
- 800g ground beef (or 4 premade patties)
- Lettuce
- Smoked cheese
- Pickles
- Burger buns of your choice
- Frenchmaid USA Style Mayo
- Frenchmaid American Mustard
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Line a tray with baking paper and place bacon strips flat.
- Brush generously with maple syrup and bake for 15–20 minutes, turning once, until crisp and caramelised.
- Thinly slice onions and cook over low heat in a pan with oil until golden and soft.
- Add balsamic vinegar to finish and cook another few minutes.
- Form the beef into 8 thin patties and cook on a hot grill or pan.
- Layer two patties per burger with smoked cheese melted between them.
- Top with caramelised onions, candied bacon, lettuce, and pickles.
- Generously spread Frenchmaid USA Style Mayo and Frenchmaid American Mustard on toasted buns.
- Assemble, serve with fries, and enjoy!
