For the past eight years, Maple Leaf Meats has been doing what we love most — serving up real food, made from scratch, with no shortcuts.

What began as a humble food truck in Melbourne’s Inner West has grown into a local institution, celebrated for its smoky BBQ flavours, retro vibes, and honest, handcrafted eats. This isn’t just food; it’s a labour of love, and every bite tells that story.


🚚 A Humble Beginning in Yarraville Gardens

Our journey started in Yarraville Gardens, where the very first Maple Leaf Meats menu paid homage to Montreal’s finest: the Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich.

We were proud of what we served, but it didn’t take long to realise that our local community was craving something a little different — something bold, smoky, and unmistakably Aussie.

So we pivoted fast. Within just a week, our menu transformed.

Out came the smoked pork ribs, the now-iconic Maple Beef Burger, and — making its very first appearance — our house-made Maple BBQ Sauce. We also introduced the Special Cheese Burger, crowned with our signature Tomato Sauce “Thick with Kick”.

And just like that, a Melbourne food truck favourite was born.
