Ingredients
- 1 cup of Tenuta Fragassi's Napoletana Passata
- Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- Fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Extra virgin olive oil – choose from the selection available at Petits Trésors
- Salt and black pepper to taste - Petits Trésors also has a great range of salts to choose from
- A handful of Self Raising Flour for rolling the pizza dough
Directions
- Preheat your oven to the highest temperature it can reach (usually around 500°F or higher).
- Roll out the pizza dough into your desired size and thickness on a floured surface.
- Transfer the pizza dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Spread a generous amount of Tenuta Fragassi's Napoletana Passata evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Arrange slices of fresh mozzarella cheese on top of the passata.
- Add fresh basil leaves and season with a pinch of salt and a grind of black pepper.
- Drizzle some extra virgin olive oil over the pizza.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
