Pasilla Chile Powder 

Also known as chilli negro, is a dried form of chilaca chili pepper. Its flavor profile is rich and smoky, with notes of earthiness. It is commonly used in mole, stews, salsas, and adobo sauces, adding a mild-to-moderate heat, with a Scoville heat rating (SHU) of 1500-2500. As part of the Holy Trinity of Mexican chilies, this pepper lends its flavor to traditional mole recipes, the other two being Ancho chilies and Mulato chilies, available here at El Cielo.
