El Cielo | Pasilla Chile Powder 100g

Also known as chilli negro, is a dried form of chilaca chilli pepper from El Cielo. Its flavour profile is rich and smoky, with notes of earthiness. It is commonly used in mole, stews, salsas, and adobo sauces, adding a mild-to-moderate heat, with a Scoville heat rating (SHU) of 1500-2500. As part of the Holy Trinity of Mexican chillies, this pepper lends its flavour to traditional mole recipes, the other two being Ancho chillies and Mulato chilli.
